Mark Sovie
Sodus - Mark L. Sovie, 54, passed away Sunday (October 20, 2013) in York, S.C., with his loving family present after a six- month battle with cancer. Mark's services will be held at Sodus Ambulance Service, 7060 Ridge Road, Sodus, N.Y. on Saturday (October 26) at 1 p.m. Anyone wishing to bring a dish to pass please Facebook Cheron Sovie or call 803-684-0251 and leave a message. Mark was born December 18, 1958 in Ogdensbury, N.Y. He was the son of the late Robert L. Sovie and Joan Carlyn (Garno) Sovie. He was a volunteer with Sodus fire department and ambulance service for many years. Mark is survived by three children, Jennifer Singer, Rebecca Sovie, Andrew (Toni) Sovie; and also eight grandchildren, Derek and Colin Sovie, Chase Leader, Emily Breemes, Adrian, Jaiden and Luna Sovie and a baby girl due December 1st. He is also survived by his brother, Richard "Bo" (Sharon) Sovie; sister Cathy (Phillip) Plumadore; sister-in-law Theresa Sovie; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Mark was predeceased by the love of his life Darlene (Bettis) Sovie (April 18, 2013); and his brother Michael Sovie. Also a very special Thank You to his friends Kathie Russell and Pam Forbes who were there from the beginning to the end for Mark, and anyone else we may have missed.
