He was born on June 16, 1962 in Albany, New York and had lived in Cheyenne since 1998. Mike graduated from Wayne Central High School in 1981, received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Notre Dame, his Master's Degree from the University of Rochester, and his Medical Degree from New York Medical College. He was a member of the American Medical Association, Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and Wyoming Medical Society. Dr. Spaulding was an Interventional Cardiologist with Cheyenne Cardiology Associates. He enjoyed downhill skiing, mountain biking and road biking, and Notre Dame football. Mike is survived by his wife, Jody McMullan, whom he married on April 21, 2011 at the Federal District Court Chambers of the Honorable Nancy Freudenthal in Cheyenne; his parents, Edward and Joan (Feeney) Spaulding of Ontario, New York; his brother, Timothy (Kim) Spaulding of Gloucester, Virginia; his sister, Anne Spaulding (Jean-Paul Scott) of Rochester, New York; a niece, Isabel Spaulding of Gloucester; a nephew, Gregory Klumpp of Rochester; and his puppy, "Milo". Funeral Services were held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Cheyenne with Pastor Mark Marston Officiating. Pallbearers were Tom Berry, Gregory Klumpp, James McMullan, John McMullan, Jean-Paul Scott, and Jaye Wacker. Cremation followed at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
