Norman Bargerstock beloved husband, brother, father, and grandfather went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday November 5th at the Billings Clinic in Billings, Montana following a short illness. Norm was born on October 12, 1955 in Rochester, New York to Fred and Gladys Bargerstock. He grew up and went to school in Ontario, New York. He graduated from Finger Lakes Community College with a degree in Criminal Justice. Norm was a 20 year member of the Union Hill Fire Dept. in Ontario, New York. He served 25 years as a Corrections Officer and Sheriff’s Deputy for the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department in Wayne County, New York. He served as the President of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Union, as Firearms Instructor, and as a member of the Sheriff’s special units dive team. He also served on the Wayne County Healthcare Board of Directors, and on the Ginna Nuclear Power Plant Emergency Response Team. He retired from duty in 2011. Outside of work Norm was a loving husband, father of two sons and grandfather of four. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 28 years, Jona Bargerstock of Buffalo; son Justin Bargerstock and his wife Tommie of Story, Wyoming and son Matthew Bargerstock of Webster, New York; two brothers David Bargerstock and his wife Gail of Cincinnati, Ohio and Allan Bargerstock of Ontario, New York; one sister Margaret Bargerstock also of Ontario, New York; and grandchildren, Jacob, Velvie, Burgandi, and Paden Bargerstock. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Carl. After retirement Norm and Jona moved to Berea, Kentucky for 9 years where he enjoyed restoring his classic cars, camping, walking in the woods and competing in local marksmanship competitions. One of his greatest joys in life were his grandchildren and in 2020 they moved to Buffalo to live near them. He belonged to the Model A & Pioneer Car Club and the Buffalo Action Shooters.
