NOTE: Safari is Apple’s standard browser with Mac’s, little used with Windows. Chrome is Google’s new web browser and not widely used yet. If you use Internet Explorer or Firefox, this wasn’t causing a problem.
At least that is my hope. I did test using both browsers, and IE and Firefox, and no problems. The issues were with trying to contact someone via the Alumni Directory, but no messages were being sent. The problems were not actually with Safari and Chrome, but with the script that was supposed to make it all happen. As it turns out, I was just lucky it worked with Firefox and IE.
Sorry for any inconvenience to Safari users, but using this script instead of more simpler methods is important because no email addresses are disclosed via web pages which could be used by spammers.
Thanks to Danny May for alerting me of the problem. Since Google Chrome is built around the same code as Safari, I should be able to more easily test browser compatibility.
