Nov. 7 – Lou Gramm of Foreigner appeared at Wayne Central’s career day this week. I hear he was given an honorary degree from Wayne Central. I guess that means he is eligible to be an honorary member of Wayne Alumni. So if you run in to Lou, welcome him to the fold.

This was not Lou’s first time at wayne. He was there in the 70’s (76, I think) with his previous band, BLACK SHEEP. Anyone have pics of that dance??

I don’t have pictures, but I remember that night. Black Sheep. Great Group! Drummer with long hair ,big busy mustache. Lou blasting out load vocals. I remember wearing bell bottom pants, naru shirt, and silver medallion. Lou Gramatico (Gram) grew up in Gates down the road from my cousin Ron Ficarro. He use to peek in his celler window watching Ron’s band practicing louie lou-I and the rolling stones, Beatles. My cousin Ron built his recording studio in Webster and remodeled his houe for him. I was at a party at Ron’s house and in walks Lou Gramm, my hero of the 80’s. He just a regular guy very down to earth. Love cars, sang about driving down Lake ave in the fast lane. Great Memories!
