I have posted something on the site weblog. Bad news is, 2398 words. The topic however may only be interesting to a small percentage of readers. It mostly has to do with some of the trials and tribulations of keeping this website going.
I have been working on a way for users to upload files. It is intended mostly for pictures, etc, but could be utilized for other things. So I’d like to have some people try it out, with the expectation that all may not go smoothly, because frankly, I’m over my head. But it worked OK for me the last few times, so why not. Click here if you have any pictures for your listing or anything else that could be used here.
You now have the ability to display the directory listings of individual classes (finally). It is available in the navigation area when viewing the Alumni Directory pages. Just select the class you wish to view and click submit.

Class of 91 Alum Dawn Stanton (VanDamme) is featured in a Rochester D&C business page (Nov. 12, 2007).
Nov. 7 – Lou Gramm of Foreigner appeared at Wayne Central’s career day this week. I hear he was given an honorary degree from Wayne Central. I guess that means he is eligible to be an honorary member of Wayne Alumni. So if you run in to Lou, welcome him to the fold.

Congratulations to Jan Leaty ’77 for winning the 2007 Modified Race of Champions at Oswego Speedway.

D.J. Copp, a 1995 Wayne Alum, has been working as a pit crew member in the NASCAR Nextel Cup series for a few years now. This year, he is the front tire changer on the #8 Budweiser car for Dale Earnhardt Jr. He also has become a regular correspondent/analyst for the ESPN show NASCAR Now. Here is a link to an article on the DEI website DEI Crew Member Lends Expertise to ESPN.
Check out the latest “Over the wall with DJ Copp” on the ESPN NASCAR website. (You might need to look for the video section, then click on More Videos, then NASCAR.)

Another Wayne Alumni involved in NASCAR is Rick Gay ’86. Rick is the crew chief for the Team ASE Toyota that Ted Musgrave drives in the NASCAR Truck Series.
[DENVER] The Numismatic Literary Guild (NLG) has presented its highest honor to Barbara J. Gregory (Class of ’72), editor-in-chief of NUMISMATIST, the American Numismatic Association’s (ANA) monthly magazine. Awarded on August 17, 2006, during the ANA World’s Fair of Money®, the coveted “Clemy” annually recognizes an individual who embodies the attributes of Clement Bailey, an NLG founder who was known for his literary talent and sense of humor.
The 39th recipient and 6th woman so honored by the NLG, Gregory joined the NUMISMATIST staff in 1981 and was appointed editor in 1988 by the ANA Board of Governors. She is the first woman to hold the title in the magazine’s 119-year history, tying ANA founder George F. Heath for the second-longest tenure in the position.
A 1972 graduate of Wayne Central High School and a 1976 graduate of Alfred University in Alfred, New York, Gregory earned a bachelor’s degree in English. She worked as a medical illustrator and editor at the University of Rochester (NY) before moving to Colorado Springs. She has received the ANA’s Presidential Award and in 2004 was named a Numismatic Ambassador by NUMISMATIC NEWS, a national hobby publication. That same year, Alfred University presented her an Alumni Citation for Distinctive Career Achievements and Avocational Pursuits.
