We are excited to introduce the newest members to be inducted in the Wayne Central Soccer Hall of Fame. Congratulations to: Sophie Chelini, Mike DeLass, Cheryl Herzog-Hackett, Tim Reynolds and Rick Whitbourne. They will be inducted during ceremonies homecoming weekend on Saturday September 26th. The Women’s induction will be at halftime of the girls game and will take place at approximately 4:45pm. The Men’s induction will take place at halftime of the boys game, at approximately 7:15pm. Following the game there will be a celebration for any and all friends/family of the inductees or of Wayne Soccer at Konstantinou’s Restaurant in Ontario. This will start at approximately 8pm and light snacks will be provided. Come and celebrate with new and old inductees and friends!! Congrats to all inductees!!!

During our Homecoming and Hall of Fame celebrations we will also be recognizing the individuals (and their families) who were instrumental in getting permanent lights on Porray Field in 1975, known as the Citizens Commitee.

Those individuals are: John Aman, Dick Amelee, Al Brasser, Tom Johnson, Ron Loucks, Joe Molino, and Bernie Porray.

This will take place at halftime of the boys game at 6:45pm.

For years, photos of Tom Gentile ’70 and Kevin Hill ’71 have been displayed in the Wayne Central trophy cases. Most recently located in the lobby of the new gym. It had been noticed that these photos had faded and deteriorated somewhat over the years. Kudos to Roger Hansen, Sandra St. James, John Abbott and Glen Cone for restoring these photos, which will soon be adorning the display cases again at Wayne Central.

Hello Fellow Alumni! We would like to introduce the newest class of Hall of Fame Inductees that we will be putting into the Wayne Soccer Hall of Fame this fall. Congrats to the following:

We will also be presenting Dan Doyle with a Wayne Soccer Alumni “Merit Award” for his efforts in keeping the alumni spirit alive through his efforts to keep alumni informed over the years.

The Hall of Fame Presentations will take place homecoming weekend on Saturday, September 27th, during halftime of the girls and boys game. Specific times will be announced soon.

In addition, we will also have a Soccer Alumni Celebration for all inductees, friends and families of Wayne Soccer at 8pm at Konstantinou’s Restaurant with food provided.

Alumni!!! It has been a few years, but we are going to bring back the ALUMNI SOCCER GAME this year. We know the timing is short notice, but we wanted to do it during homecoming week. Here are the details:

WHEN: Monday September 16th

WHERE: Porray Field

TIME: 6:30pm

WHO: Co-ed

COST: FREE- No shirts this year so no cost- Too short notice

-If you want to donate to the alumni association to support the hall of fame induction and our scholarship, donations will be accepted.

Tell your friends and come out and play under the lights on Porray!!

This year the induction celebration will be Saturday September 21st during homecoming. The women’s ceremony will take place during halftime of the girls game at approximately 4:45pm on the new turf stadium (Eagle Stadium). The men’s ceremony will take place at halftime of the boys game at approximately 7:15pm.

Following the games at approximately 8pm, there will be a celebration at Konstantinou’s Restaurant and Bar for all friends, family, and alumni wishing to celebrate with the inductees.
