Amanda (Sudore) Meath


Amanda (Sudore) Meath was a 2009 Wayne Central graduate. She was a four-year member of the varsity soccer team and was one of the team captains in 2007 and 2008. She received the Most Outstanding Player honors in 2006, Coaches’ Choice Award in 2007 and team MVP award in 2008. She played with the Junior Rhinos National Championship team in 2007 and was a member of the Jefferson Cup Champions in 2008. She also competed on the varsity outdoor track and field team for four seasons, the indoor track and field team for two seasons, and the softball team for one season. Not only did she excel on the field, but in the classroom as well. Amanda was recognized in Who’s Who in American High Schools and was a member of National Honor Society.
Amanda went on to play soccer at Nazareth College earning first-team Empire 8 Conference all-star honors as well as first-team NSCAA East Region honors as an outside back. In 2012, Amanda enjoyed one of the most honor-laden seasons in Nazareth’s illustrious soccer history as she earned first-team All-American accolades – both athletically and academically — from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. She was Nazareth’s sixth All-American and second first-team selection. Amanda also played four years for the Rochester Ravens, a semi-pro team that competed against American and Canadian teams. After her soccer career, Amanda has enjoyed competing in and completing three full Ironman triathlons.
Recently, Amanda, a speech pathologist working at Thompson Hospital, and her husband Ben welcomed a baby boy, Luca Benjamin Meath, into their family in April of this year.


Lisa (Harvey) Parry

Lisa is a lifelong soccer player, starting at the age of 5 and continuing to play year-round for over 35 years. Lisa honed her skills at the modified and JV levels, and also participated in player development under Coach Mike Karns in the Wayne Wings travel program.
Beginning in her sophomore year, Lisa played on the Varsity Girls team under HOF coach Chuck Imhoff. Her high school achievements include 1st team All-County and being selected as Exceptional Senior. In Lisa’s senior season, the defense recorded 13 shutouts throughout the season where she played an integral role in the Sweeper position. She was also part of the team that won the Wayne County Championship and captured the Section V Class B title. The team advanced to State regional play only to lose with much controversy to Lewiston-Porter in penalty kicks.
Lisa continued her career in college, playing at SUNY Geneseo in her senior year. After graduation she played in both indoor and outdoor recreation leagues with the Brighton Stormers for nearly 20 years.
Today, Lisa, along with her husband, Sean, spend their time supporting their 3 daughters’ passion for dance as well as their high school & college academic achievements.


Laura (Baker) Sehm

Laura was part of the Wayne soccer program since middle school moving up to play on JV in 8th grade. By her sophomore year she was a starting defender for the next three years on varsity with a team that was the Wayne county league champions in 1991, as well as the only Wayne girls soccer team to win the Section V Class B title in 1991. Her senior year she was team captain, MVP and also part of a team that won the Wayne county league championship for 1992. Laura was also selected for the all county teams in 1991 and 1992.
Leaving high school, Laura did go on to play her freshman year at Suny Brockport. From there she went on to acquire degrees in business administration as well as a bachelors in business management/finance from St John Fisher. Since that time, she has been working in the retirement plan industry for over 20 years and resides here in Ontario with her husband and two children – who both currently attend Wayne HS. Laura would like to thank the amazing coaches she had through the years, that enabled her success as a player throughout her soccer career, and put her here today.


Bryan Loucks

Bryan moved from Waterloo and their football program to Wayne Central and entered our soccer program in 7th grade. His skills progressed and he began playing on the varsity team as a sophomore. Bryan quickly became a highly skilled and confident player who showed outstanding leadership on the field at Wayne. During his first year on varsity, the team won sectionals. During his outstanding soccer career at Wayne, Bryan was honored with being selected to the 1st team All County team his junior and senior year, receiving the most votes for 1st team his senior year.
While at Wayne, Bryan also played JV and Varsity basketball. In his younger years, he participated in track and field and tennis. Bryan is a 1977 graduate of Wayne Central.
During college, he played Division 2 soccer and won several MVP awards at a variety of college tournaments. Following college, Bryan received an invitation to train with the Detroit Xpress which was a professional soccer team in the NASL league. He then traveled to England to play a season of semi-pro soccer. When he returned to Rochester, he played in the Rochester District Soccer League premier division and then in the 30 and over league into his 40’s .
Bryan continued his contributions to our soccer program as a coach in the Wayne Wings program for over a decade. This included coaching his 3 children all of whom went on to be honored with the All Greater Rochester award while playing at Wayne Central. Two of the sons he coached went on to play Division 1 and 2 in college and his son Jamey was inducted into Wayne’s hall of fame in 2021. With Bryan’s induction to the hall of fame, Bryan and his son Jamey become our first father and son PLAYERS inducted into the hall of fame.


Matt Marino

Matt Marino is our next inductee. Matt graduated from Wayne in 1997, playing 3 years of varsity soccer for Hall of Fame coach Tim Mattle. During Matt’s first 2 seasons on varsity he played forwards before switching to defense his senior year. Considered “the best defender” he has ever had by Coach Mattle, Matt earned 1st team all county, Section V Class BB All tournament team, All Greater Rochester-Honorable mention and selected to the exceptional senior game and a captain, while marking the best player on each team all season. Matt continued his soccer career playing at St. John Fisher College where he was a 3 years starter, a captain his senior season and earned all Empire 8 honors during his junior and senior years. Following his time at Fisher, Matt continued to play in adult leagues around Rochester and recently became involved in coaching in East Rochester for his son Eliot. Matt has coached club soccer for the ER Jets and all levels of school soccer, including varsity assistant this year, where his team is #2 in the state in class C. Matt joins his brother Jay and brother in law Kyle Marvin, in the Wayne Soccer Hall of Fame.


Tom Schlegel

Tom Schlegel is our next inductee. Tom graduated from Wayne in 1967 earning varsity letters in soccer, basketball. Baseball and golf. Tom was a member of 2 sectional championship soccer teams and was named the 1967 Outstanding Senior Athlete, while also being the co-captain his senior season. Following graduation Tom went on to play soccer at MCC where he helped lead his team to an undefeated regular season and eventually to the national championship where they lost in sudden death overtime. After MCC, Tom played and graduated from SUNY Brockport with a degree in Physical Education and Recreation. After graduating college, Tom taught and coached at Red Creek. While at Red Creek, Tom coached all levels while coaching soccer, basketball, wrestling, track and golf. As the girls Varsity Soccer coach Tom amassed a record of 342 wins, 92 losses and 29 ties while winning 13 County Titles, 10 sectional championships and 1 state title, while going to the state semifinals 4 times. He was also named Section 5 coach of the year. Tom also was highly successful coaching golf for 13 years. Away from Red Creek, Tom was an avid softball player, archer, hunter and golfer. Tom was married to his wife Carolyn in 1972 and had 3 children- Kevin, Timothy and Kimberly who all inherited Tom’s love of sports, coaching and teaching. Tom passed away in 2011 battling ALS-Lou Gehrig’s disease.


Craig Strife

Our last inductee is Craig Strife. Craig was a smooth playing midfielder that had the ability to change the game. Known for his touch on the ball and playmaking skills, Craig played 3 years of varsity for Hall of Fame Coach Tim Mattle and with fellow inductee Matt Marino. Growing up, Craig played for the Rochester Mavericks , Rochester’s original “premier team” and was a member of the under 14 Olympic Development Regional and State Team. Over his time on varsity Craig totaled 19 goals and 10 assists, while earning all league honors both his junior and senior years. His senior year he was also honorable mention All greater rochester and was chosen to be part of the Section V Select team which traveled to Barcelona and Amsterdam. Craig went on to college to play at Monroe Community College for 2 years and continued to play locally in Premier Adult Soccer Leagues up until 2017. Lastly, in recent years Craig has honed his golf skills, placing 2nd, twice in the annual Wayne Soccer Alumni Soccer Golf Tournament.
